Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Pounce is a private, non-commercial game server run by a small artist as a hobby ("we"). It is offered free of charge. We are not WildWorks and have no relationship with them. If you want the official game, it is at animaljam.com.

2. Who may play

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to the use of your personal data on your own, you must be at least that age.
• Pounce is not directed at children and has no way to collect a parent's consent. If you are under the age above, do not create an account.

By creating an account you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. We delete accounts that we learn belong to someone under the required age.

3. Your account

• DO NOT USE YOUR ACTUAL AJ ACCOUNT NAME OR PASSWORD.
• You are responsible for your password and for what is done with your account. Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
• Keep your recovery email current. We use it only to send one-time password or 2FA recovery links.
• You can delete your account at any time on your account page.

4. Rules

Pounce gives players more freedom than the original game, including free chat. In return you agree not to:

• harass, threaten or bully anyone, or post hateful or sexual content;
• share anyone's personal information, including your own contact details where it puts you at risk;
• scam other players;
• put another player in danger in any way, in the game or outside it;
• pretend to be staff, use a name or content meant to offend, or get around a ban;
• attack, overload or probe the server, use exploits, or interfere with other players' use of it;
• use Pounce for anything unlawful.

5. Moderation

• Chat and whispers are stored for a limited time so that moderators can review reports. See the Privacy Policy.
• Moderators and the administrator may silence or ban an account, reject a username, remove content, or ban an address, with or without notice, when these terms are broken or the server needs protecting.
• Putting another player in danger leads to the account being closed.
• We may also suspend or close any account at our discretion, for any reason, including reasons not listed in these terms.
• If you are banned you are told the reason and can appeal once on your account page.

6. Your content

What you write or make in the game (chat, bio, Jam-A-Grams, wall posts, paintings, den layouts) stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to other players as the game requires, for as long as it is on the server. Do not post anything you have no right to share.

7. The game and its content

The game client, artwork, music, characters and names belong to WildWorks, Inc. or their respective owners. Pounce claims no ownership of them and grants you no rights in them. Items, currency and anything else you hold in the game have no monetary value and can be changed, reset or removed at any time.

Takedown procedure: WildWorks, Inc. or its authorized representatives may request the removal of content, or of Pounce as a whole, by writing to invadervik02@gmail.com. Upon verification of authority, the request will be carried out promptly.

8. No guarantees

Pounce is provided as it is, without any warranty. It may be unavailable, lose data, change or shut down permanently at any time and without notice. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law does not allow to be limited.

9. Ending and changes

• You may stop using Pounce and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account as set out in section 5.
• We may update these terms. The version and date at the top will change, and significant changes will be announced in the game or on this site before they apply. If you do not agree, stop using Pounce and delete your account.
• These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without affecting the consumer protections of the country where you live.
